The Phuket bus travels all over phuket from Phuket old town to Phuket airport. There is a standard fare of 100 baht per trip which is boarding once and and getting off. Taxis - App Transports
Taxis are a plenty here in patong beach and so are grab, Bolt and Indrive. Bolt is probably the cheapest app to have and are quick to book so is Grab taxi.
Indrive have an option sometimes to state a price however what i noticed with them is that once you book the journey you often get a reply from the driver trying to negotiate the price with you which is often twice what is offered. I found this comany to be the worst of all the apps especially in Patong beach area and anywhere else on phuket. I was left stranded at 1am in the morning with a driver trying to get me to pay higher prices with a dying phone battery.
Bolt is by far and wide the best taxi app in Thailand no matter where you are they are the most reliable and most efficient.
Songthaews

Although taxis are the most common form of transport in phuket there are several songthaews that operate. The main one being from the beach front at the end of Bangla rd which goes to phuket old town and to the major shopping malls. The cost at the time was 30 baht however that could of changed.
Swimming & Water Conditions
Swimming at Patong Beach is generally good during the dry season (November to April), with calm water and clear conditions.
The conditions can vary throughout the day. The water clarity often sparkles under the sun, making it easy to see colorful fish darting below.
However, I found that early mornings usually offer the calmest waves, perfect for swimming safety. As the day progresses, the surf can pick up, transforming the beach into a lively playground for those seeking adventure.
It’s crucial to stay aware of these changes; the rush of the ocean can be thrilling but also demands respect. Whether you're swimming or just splashing around, Patong Beach's waters invite you to embrace both tranquility and excitement, all while keeping safety in mind.
Red flags are used to signal unsafe swimming conditions, and these should always be respected.
